Ashfield Land tops South West SME growth list

20 Apr 2023

Ashfield Land has been ranked first in Insider’s annual SME 150 list, with the property company registering the best growth of all small to medium-sized businesses in the South West.

Insider commended the “entrepreneurial culture” of Ashfield Land and highlighted a series of the business’ successful projects – both in the South West and the rest of the UK. This includes the £9 million regeneration of a JVM castings site in Worcester with a new Lidl store opening, delivery of a new Topgolf facility in Glasgow and the sale of its Pyramids Business Park in West Lothian for film and TV production operations.

The SME 150 list assesses businesses on their most recently filed annual reports, measuring performance of their turnover and profitability. In year ending April 2022, Ashfield Land recorded £19.8 million turnover with pre-tax profits of £9.63 million.

Andrew Fisher, Managing Director of Ashfield Land, said: “Our business is growing and we’ve achieved some excellent results over the past 18 months which we are extremely proud of. From delivering a new Lidl store and improved employment space in Worcester to bringing the first Topgolf facility to Scotland in Glasgow, there’s a lot to celebrate and it’s fantastic to be recognised for these achievements. We’re looking to build on this success in 2023, target new opportunities, make new deals and identify new sites where we can generate value.”

Ashfield Land is an expert property company working across the commercial and residential sectors, and is actively seeking investment, development and strategic land opportunities nationwide. The company is well capitalised and is seeking new sites where its asset management and development skills can create value.
