This high profile and extremely imaginative redevelopment of the landmark former Maples store in Queen’s Road created 65,000 sq ft of leisure, health and fitness, retail and A3 restaurant facilities in the heart of Clifton, Bristol.
The ground floor was let to Le Monde (restaurant), Fresh & Wild (organic food retail) and New Heights (furniture). The upper 2 floors, comprising some 30,000 sq ft, were let to Canons Health & Fitness and included a cleverly engineered 20m pool at second floor level.
The scheme played a key part in the revival of Queen’s Road and Clifton’s popular West End quarter. The completed development was sold to The Unilever Pensions Fund (CBRE Investors).
