Completed in 2009, St Catherine’s Court was the first new office building to be developed in the prime Clifton quarter of Bristol for over 20 years and achieved the first City Centre BREEAM Excellent accreditation.
The building was constructed on part of a wider site totalling approximately 1.75 acres of the former Bristol Steiner Waldorf School purchased in the late 1990s on an unconditional basis. The site was unique as in addition to a number of school buildings it also comprised a Grade II listed cathedral.
After a lengthy planning process Ashfield Land obtained consent for the conversion of the Cathedral to residential and the demolition of the lower school to erect the new office building. The residential element was subsequently sold and has now been converted into high quality student accommodation by Student Castle.
St Catherine’s Court is fully let and the tenant line-up includes international property consultants GVA, private bankers Arbuthnot Latham, fund data experts Fund Library and leading accountants Saffery Champness.
